Product recalls
We are seeing an increase in property damage caused by water and fire as a direct result of a defective product. As a property adjuster, you are familiar with losses caused by defective products. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) released the following product recalls:
Per the CPSC, the recalled vehicles can have a damaged fuel tank causing fuel to leak, posing fire and explosion hazards. This recall involves Off-Road Side-by-Side vehicles with model numbers YXF10WPZMG (Wolverine RMAX 4 SE), YXF10WPLML (Wolverine RMAX 4 LE), YXF10WPAMS (Wolverine RMAX 4), YXE10WPZMG (Wolverine RMAX 2 SE), YXE10WPAMS/YXE10WPAMW (Wolverine RMAX 2), and YXE10WPLML (Wolverine RMAX 2 LE).
Per the CPSC, the propane hose can swell and rupture, allowing propane gas to leak, posing a fire hazard to the user. This recall involves Pearl River 3Q20 or 4Q20 propane hoses used in propane powered torches and other propane accessories.
Per the CPSC, the inner layer of the fuel line can leak, posing a fire hazard. Polaris has received two reports of fuel leaks. No fire or injuries have been reported. This recall involves certain VINs of Polaris Model Year 2022 Outlaw 110 EFI Youth ATVs.
